It is impossible for a lift truck operator to see all danger areas at once, especially if they are in a blind spot. The BacksenseĀ® radar sensor system detects stationary and moving objects and gives the driver in the cab visual and acoustic signals as a warning. This allows you to see people and objects in time and greatly reduces accidents.

The BacksenseĀ® Radar uses FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology. This involves emitting a signal with continuously varying frequency, which gives a unique time stamp to each wave. The time at which the returning wave is detected is compared to the time stamp, without interruption of the radar signals. This leads to very accurate detection, better than with pulsed radar. The object detection sensors work effectively in harsh conditions and poor visibility such as darkness, smoke and fog.
