BRIGADE Backsense® Radar – Object detection for forklift trucks

Forklift drivers often have to contend with blind spots and limited visibility, which significantly increases the risk of collisions. BRIGADE Backsense® Radar is a robust object detection system for industrial applications that detects both stationary and moving objects within a preset detection area. The system increases safety without affecting the daily operation of the vehicle.

Reliable detection in any working environment

BRIGADE Backsense® Radar uses advanced FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar technology. This allows the system to continue to function accurately and reliably, even in dust, rain, fog, smoke or darkness. Unlike traditional pulse radars, this technology provides continuous and extremely precise distance measurement.

Rapid warnings for shorter response times

The driver receives visual warnings via a clear in-cab display, supplemented by an acoustic alarm signal. The warnings are structured in multiple levels, allowing the driver to respond immediately and significantly reducing the risk of collisions in confined or busy areas.

Fully adjustable and versatile

The detection area of the BRIGADE Backsense® Radar is fully adjustable and can be precisely tailored to the dimensions of the vehicle and the working environment. By adjusting the beam pattern, false alarms are kept to a minimum. The system is suitable for forklift trucks, wheel loaders and other industrial vehicles, both on and off-road.
