KIGIS iPAs 1.0 – People Detection and Zoning with UWB Technology

KIGIS iPAS 1.0 enhances workplace safety with state-of-the-art Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology. The system accurately measures the distance between forklifts and pedestrians and provides both the driver and the pedestrian with a reliable collision warning. Depending on the safety zone in which the vehicle is located, the system automatically adjusts the driving speed — an essential part of preventing accidents and improving operational efficiency.

The system detects not only pedestrians but also other vehicles, preventing potential collisions between forklifts. The integrated zone alerts function as ‘traffic lights’ with motion sensors: whenever a vehicle or pedestrian enters a pre-set zone, the alarm signal is activated. Three security levels provide timely warnings via LED signals, sound or vibration.
